Boeshield T9
The directions for use sound remarkably like Tectyl 506. I wonder, are all these sprayable waxes much the same?😈

I think others have said that Boeshield T9 isn't sticky? Whatever is on my prop flange is pretty sticky.

T9 isn't sticky. We used it on all my dive compressors around saltwater

Michael, The thread has drifted from your question. I don't know what the substance is however would suggest that if its;
Sticky - remove it as it will only attract dust.
Adherence poor - likly get flung off by centrifugal force, so remove it.
Replace with something like Boeshield T9, Tecktyl 506 , Motorex Chainlube Road Strong.😈
