IHi James - Got to give you the prize my man. Thats a terrific list. What are "Medium water pump pliers" ?
High quality torque wrench (inch lbs/newton meters) and some extensions - Extensions come with socket set. Dont go overboard on an expensive set. I have found that a combination of digital torque adapter & conventional "click" torque wrenches does the job.
Oil filter wrench to fit Rotax filter - The best AND most cost effective you can buy is the Expert E117117 Adjustable
Oil drain pan - Cut the side out of a 5L plastic oil bottle
Oil filter cutter
Funnels-couple sizes - In addition strongly advocate a Mr Funnel, or similar filter funnel, for refuelling
Full set of metric open end wrenches 8mm thru 14mm - From memory a 17 & 19 mm open end spanners will also be required
Full set of metric sockets - Full set? Purchasing a socket set that goes from about 8mm - 20 mm or there about, will likly cover most needs
Set of small metric allen wrenches - any 9-13 piece set will do the job - get the ones with a ball one end for difficult access.
Medium size needle nose and regular pliers
Side cutters
Spark plug deep socket - Some deep sockets may be included in the socket set.
Safety wire and pliers
Small and medium adjustable wrenches - Good to have "plumbers tools" but only use as last resort
Medium water pump pliers - ??????
Various small picks and an awl
Small air compressor for tires and oil purging - Small? A 12 V compressor will be sufficient for tyre pressures however a much larger compressor will be needed to deliver sufficient air volume at say 10 psi, for effective oil purge procedure.
Tire pressure gauge
A way to jack a wheel off the ground - Most hydraulic jacks will not fit under the axle of a small aircraft. You can purchase dedicated jacks from people like Peter Anson Engineering https://www.ansoneng.com/ or modify a small automotive scissor jack (wreckers yard)
A set of carb synchronizing gauges - Cheap Motorcycle twined vacuum synchroniser gauges will do the job very well - need to purchase extra pneumatic tubing
A differential cylinder compression tester with correct spark plug thread adapter
A couple of oil analysis kits, ready to use
A small spring scale for checking prop clutch friction torque
From this list, you can put together a small emergency tool kit that you always carry in the airplane. - The "away" kit will likly need to duplicate some of the home tools.
I would add:
Automotive spring hose clamp tool
Small "Vise Grips" - occasional use only. I have a small straight jaw set, that I use (with jaws coved by tubing) to squeeze shut the balance tube when doing carburettor balance.
A selection of flat blade and Philips head screwdrivers.
Dynon instruments (in my aircraft) use a small Torx head screws, so Torx drive needed (came with 1/4" socket set)
Cheap Multi meter
Then there is a long list of consumables eg Loctite products (much of this is listed in Rotax Service Manual) Purchase as needed as some have limited shelf life.
NOTE: If airframe originated in USA, then a parallel set of imperial tools will also have to be acquired😈
