    Since the original question was tools for a Rotax 912uls, I didn't include tools for the airframe, but I see others have added them.

    Sean asked "what are medium water pump pliers"? These come in 3 or 4 sizes; get the meduim size-no big deal.

    By "small air compressor" I meant a 110volt unit, not a battery operated type. Harbor Freight has some small unit for very reasonable price.

    There are many ways to jack a wheel off the ground, but I use a typical hydraulic jack (I already had one) and place the jack under one of the mounting blocks for my Grove gear (use a wood spacer block to avoid scratches). Of course there is a foot or so of space between the floor and the bottom of the jack, so I fill this up with a sturdy wooden support box and some large wood blocks. Works great and leaves the wheel/axle area free to work on.

    I still don't know what "water pump pliers" are - its likly Australians have another name for the same tool. Any chance of a photograph?😈

    Hi Roger,

    "Water pump pliers...A.K.A. Channel lock pilers  "

    Not translating into Straiyan - When I Google your suggestion, I get all sorts of blue handled pliers - nothing specific.

    Just by using the little common sense, I still have, I think this might be what you  & James are talking about;

    If so - cant say I have ever used this sort of tool on an mechanical service repairs😈

    Hi Sean,

    That's it. In the US we usually call them channel Lock pliers. I'm sure around the world there are many names.
