The manual states that when reinstalling the intake manifold, to "Lubricate the 2 O-rings 34x2 with lithium-base grease and insert them at each side between the intake manifold and the cylinder head" and then when installing the rubber flange the manual says "Attach rubber flange and new O-ring 47x2 with hex. screws M8x25 and M8x30 with washers." The difference is the "new" o-ring for the rubber flange. Does this mean that the o-rings at the cylinder head to intake manifold can be reused but the o-ring has to be replaced when attaching the rubber flange?

Thoughts?

Thanks

The grease is white lithium grease. Don't glob it on just coat it. The rubber socket (your rubber flange) where the carbs mount into has an "O" ring between the socket and the metal intake where it mounts. Then the metal air intake tube on top of the cylinders each have an "O" ring.At the five year rubber change the carb sockets get replaced along with its "O" ring. If you need to loosen the metal intake for some reason the "O" rings can be reused, but if you  have a quite a few hours or a lot of time since it the engine MFG then replace the metal intake "O" rings too. If you remove the metal air intake manifold make absolutely sure you do not drop anything down inside.
