Erratic oil temp readings
Hi All,
Well I've run into an issue I can't solve. It is an erratic oil temp issue. This is in a 2008 (1725 hrs) Flight Design CTLS with a Dynon D100 and a D120. This started about 25 - 30 hrs ago. As the engine warms up the oil temp bounces around 2 - 5 psi. The higher the temp like at take off and in flight the oil temp bounces around 5-20 psi. This even sets off the high oil temp alarm. So I've tried two new senders, installed a new wire from the sender to the D120, checked the grounds, checked the Dynon plug on the back of the D120. grounded the D120 to the ground bus bar and sent the D120 to Dynon and they said they couldn't replicate it. I tried installing a resistor with no luck. Engine grounded in two different spots. Nothing else on the D120 is having any issue just the oil temp readings. I'm at a loss as to a cause or a solution.
