What's the best product to use to stop rock chips on a composite prop?

    Hi Ted,

See if this helps. This tape is from 3M and is a leading edge tape. I have a few friends that use it. You can get it in different widths like 6".

Thanks Roger but I hoping to find some metal protectors, I have a lot of respect for that 3M product but I don't really need 36 yards.

I have successfully used the 3M tape on my 3 bladed Woodcomp Klassic composite prop. Here in the UK I was able to buy it by the foot and different widths were available. I would imagine that metal protectors could be more problematic both in terms of performance and balance. In the UK it may actually be classed as a modification whereas I think that tape is generally accepted without requiring any permission.
