I have a regular throttle cable set up in my Kitfox IV with a 912.
the springs make the throttle creep during landing and I am busy with a final turn at low altitude. Once lined up with the runway I add flaps and as I remove my hand from the throttle, I have RPM increase or I have a very hard friction lock to loosen before regaining throttle control.
So, I removed the springs and the problem is solved. I set the throttle, it stays. no creeping.
But, You guys may know of another way to handle it. Im not changing runways.
1600 ft with obsticals at the approach and departure.
