When was my engine built?

:unsure: Can anyone tell me how to determine or find out the actual build date of a particular Rotax engine based on serial number or whatever? ???

    Hi Sheldon,
    -Email your Service center to request the data. They can ask the distributor to log into the Rotax system and find the engine manufacturing date.
    -Or post the s/n and I will look it up. (I am out of the office for extended times so please be patient)
    -The engine does use the date in various serial numbers so you can at least get the year of manufacture(ignition pack is one; look for a sticker on the top module)
