Hey guys, maybe any of you can help me.

I live in Panama Central America and I need to send a Rotax 912 to Lockwood. I need a inexpensive "PLASTIC" shipping crate box in order that the shipping company accept me to ship the engine to USA.

I cant use wood because there are some regulations here in my country that in order to send a wood crate box to USA need to have a fumigation certification and I dont find nobody here in mu country that can fumigate the wood crate box.

So the only thing thats come to my mind is to buy in USA a Plastic Crate Box, bring it to my country and then put the Rotax 912 inside that plastic box.

Do any of you know who sell in USA a inexpensive plastic crate box that has the size to put inside a Rotax 912 and has a way to fix the engine to the inside in order that the engine does not move inside the box.

Thx for your time and help

Isaac

You can probably find a large plastic cooler that will do the trick. If not, there are many sizes of the fish containers that the fisher men use to send their fish to market in. Probably find one that will work or that might be able to be cut down to size.
PS; Im here in Santiago and will be happy to connect with other ulm pilots. plz send me a message.

I fly trike here but am experienced in many other a/c.
    happy Flying,

Hello Nity, I just sold my UL, so I am not flying at the moment.

Are you in Panama? If yes, you can contact the president of the UL Club in Calzada Larga Airport

    Good luck,

I believe you can use processed wood; plywood and OSB as no bug can live through the glue/ forming process. this would be much cheaper than having a box sent to you.
