carby balance

Is it possible for the carbys to be OK at idle and up to 3500 revs and above 5000 revs but be out at 4500 revs

    Possible if cables or the system has a slight friction in a spot, but not likely the carb's fault by itself. If you have a vibration at 4500 and you know the carbs are balanced then look at the prop a little harder. Has the prop been dynamically balanced? The gearbox may need a re-shim, ect..
