My 912ul will run a little rough and miss on one ignition when it is first started and brought up to operating temps. I can go out and fly and after I land I can do a ignition check and it will be smooth on both ignitions. The carb sync is dead on at 2500 and 3500 rpm and I've replaced the plugs. It seems something is going on that gets cleared up by getting the engine really warm or higher rpms. Any ideas ?

Thanks

sounds like its a little rich; a hot engine is happy with a leaner mixture but a cold engine wants a rich mixture. try moving eh needle clips to the #2 position (assuming they are in the stock #3 position).
Yes, the mixture does indeed affect the mag drop.

Some time ago I had big mag drop on only one circuit. About 200rpm from while on second it was 150 drop.
I thought that it is ignition problem, but it disappears after carb overhaul and resynchronization.

I don't know why it was on one module, maybe this one is a little weaker... now I have about 100rpm drop, with max difference about 20rpm.

Btw. my friend had rotax 582 with was not working during winter. We checked everything and it was absolutely no spark on all 4 HV coils. When I touched plugs i could feel only low voltage. Supply and wires was ok. Problem dissapears when it was warm or if I warm up dcdi module by heat gun.
