My question is this: I have the Ducati ignition modules installed on my 912 ULS. I also have the Bully Hawke soft start ignition installed on the engine. When the Ducati fails and we know they are suspect after several hundred hours flying, if I order the new Rotax modules with soft start already installed, will I/do I remove the Bully Hawke soft start ignition that is currently installed or just leave it? Or do I simply re-order standard ignition modules from whomever and continue with the Bully Hawke?

    Terry,
If you need to replace your Rotax modules because they have become defective, remove the Bully Hawk (ConAir)soft start and install the new Rotax modules with soft start. There is a second hand market for the ConAir soft start. The price of the Rotax modules are pretty much the same with or without the soft start integrated in them.

There is a company in Holland that repairs the Rotax modules and it represents quite a saving over the new Rotax units. I have heard good reports on the repaired units if you want to consider this as an option.
