Trouble shooting igniton system fot 912's. From the stator to the modules to the spark plugs.

Look in the Heavy Maint. manual. It has the specs for ohming out the pin connections. It doesn't sound like an ignition module. before you begin you may want to unscrew each spark plug cap and trim back each plug wire 3/8" and when you go to screw it back on place a dab of dielectric grease on the tip of each wire.
Replace the spark plugs whether you think they are good or not.

These two items could be your problem, but may not be, but you have to start at ground zero and work back. I don't think this is from the stator end.

leave no stone unturned for that will be the one that is the problem.

I have a 912uls engine with a soft start module added 2010. engine won't start can a bad soft start module be a cause. Is there some advantage to a soft start module?

Hi guys, In my serch i found that there is no 12v to the soft start module, my Question is, where does it come from, the starter switch or starter relay. Russty30.

There is supposed to be a wire from each soft start module that goes to the starter solenoid center connection. When you turn the key it sends 12v to each module to initiate each soft start. If you don't have those connected then no soft start. There is an open pin hole on each module connector for this. The new modules have a wire already installed ready to hook up. The older sets you had to install the wire.
