Hi

I fly a Sport Cruiser powered by a new 912uls equipped with the CSU 3 blade prop.

There appears to be differing views as to the best MP/RPM settings for best cruise (given just one lever - the throttle).

I started to set 4800rpm witch produced 26mp but told rpm too low so what are the best cruise settings and if I concentrate on the MP will the resultant rpm be fine?

For your ground adjustable prop the best well balanced rpm at WOT in level flight is 5600-5650. This will give you well balanced climb, cruise, fuel economy and keep engine temps down. There are no redeeming qualities with an over pitched prop and that is anything less than 5500 rpm at WOT in level flight.

    Many thanks.
I have three settings on my CSU, TKO-CLM-CRZ
which I can select in flight.
On TKO and CLM setting, no problem because I can achieve around 5400rpm at WOT.
But when I change to CRZ I adjust throttle to give me around 26MP hoping for 5100-5200 rpm but I'm told that
5200 is too much. I'm also told that less than 5000 is too low.
I know that the CSU can be configured to provide
    a preset RPM so any
    recommendations?
