I checked on lockwood and California Power Systems, my two go-to sites for Rotax parts, but neither one of them has the new floats required for the latest mandatory service bulliten SB-912-074. The floats I need are for the 912ULS as well as the gaskets. I'm sure I'm not the only one. Does anyone know who has these in stock?

The required new floats are PN 861 189.  Lockwood has them in stock, according to their website...

Thanks!  Where did you find the part number required? I only found a three page PDF of the SB and it doesnt say it in there. I remember it was the same with the circlip SB-912-073. No part number for the new part. Why do they do that?

Also, I found them on California power systems as well $30 Cheaper but not in stock unfortunately.

    Thanks for the info!!!

    I'm going by this:  https://www.rotax-owner.com/en/component/k2/item/71-rotax-carb-floats-id-guide

The "new" floats have actually been available for some time.  I guess enough problems kept happening with the other types that Rotax decided to mandate them on the affected older engines.

The "three page" PDF is just the listing of affected serial numbers for "UL" version engines. That document refers you towards the "Certified" version of the same doc - to get the "meat' of the service bulletin...

"For complete instructions and compliance to this Service Bulletin refer to Service Bulletin: SB-912-074/SB-914-056, latest edition section 1.2 onward" (at the bottom of the UL SB)

That reminds me of an old NY joke:

Shopper: I can't believe you are selling bananas for 50¢... Waldbaum sells them for 40¢!

Grocer:  Then why don't you buy them from Waldbaum?

Shopper:  I would, but he's out of them.

Grocer: Oh, well when I'm out of them, my price is 25¢
