Afterward, I suggest you get yourself some anti-abrasion tape for those little spots where hoses, wires, ties, etc. unavoidably rub against each other, e.g. Painless Performance 72022

I use "preloved" hose strategically held in place with zip/cable ties.

If the used hose is to small/large or you are fitting after hose installation, just split (second cut to shrink) & fit with two zip ties.

I save all my used hose (from 5 year replacement) for re use in just this sort of scenario and on my land bound engines (mowers , pumps, etc)

Two easy ways to handle this. First is do a good job at the annual inspection or at the rubber hose change to make sure things aren't in harms way to rub. There are several ways to cure this issue. Maybe shortening a hose a tad or using a plastic wire tie to pull it slightly back.

Keeping things from touching isn't always possible so the next thing that can be done is easy. Take a piece of fire sleeve maybe 3-4 inches long and slit it lengthwise. Then place it around the object that may get rubbed and secure it with some plastic wire ties.. I see tons of these things on many aircraft from owners and Mfg's.
