Any suggestions for a shop to do the same quality job that Roger Lee describes here on the east coast? Can go from New England to Florida. Also, if the Flight Design aircraft has exceeded the rubber replacement timeline by a year and the annual inspection is overdue, is a ferry permit required to get it the shop?

    Hi Philip,

If you are past the annual date then yes a ferry permit is technically needed. Don't worry about the hose part of it to just fly to a mechanic. Where do you actually live and maybe we can be more specific with helping find a mechanic.
Here are two sites to check out for mechanics:

    Thanks Roger,

I was impressed by your ability to do such a though job at a very reasonable rate. I agree with removing the engine and replacing the mounts. I'll be looking for a shop that follows your example.

    Hi Philip,

Have I seen this plane? If so who's name was it under?

    Roger,

I split my time between Florida and New England so anyplace on the east coast would work for me.
