The original 277 on this plane was stolen.  A replacement is on, but the original muffler can't be mounted to the engine.  Based on videos of the plane before, and looking at what I have now, it seems that there was some kind of intermediate pipe that went between the short pipe that bolts to the engine and the muffler, a gap maybe a foot or so in length.

Is there maybe a FLEXIBLE intermediate pipe that has the male ball on one end and the female ball on the other?

    Hi Keith

I see nobody gave you an answer.  It will depend on what muffler you have, a straight version or 90 degree.  There was some others as well.  The common version had a curved pipe.  Take a picture of your muffler and send it too one of the service centres that work on 2 strokes.  I would recommend APS in Wisconsin or perhaps SMLA in Mississippi.  You can located their contact information at rotaxirmt.com

    Cheers
