    Joe,

I should expand a little on checking the solenoid. if you try to start with the starter switch and it doesn't crank, leave the master switch on and Jump the solenoid with the battery cable. If the starter runs with the jumper and not with the start switch, you could have a bad solenoid (most likely), starter switch, or control wiring problem. All are easy to trace down. If you try the other stuff first and you know it's all OK, give us a shout and we'll trace the control circuit. If none of this works, I'm sure someone on the forum will have some other suggestions.

Joseph... have you done a ohms check for the stator plate? I had exactly the same problem, and replacing the stator plate fixed it. Should reaD ABOUT 220-250 OHMS BOTH sides of the regulator.

Have you thought about increasing your wire size from the battery to the starter? You may have too small a gauge wire.

Thank you all for the help. The problem was a weak/poor connection at the starter, battery, or silenoid. After checking all of these, the problem went away. Again thank. Sorry it took so long as this message got lost on my site. :)
