Running the break in on new 447 and after the 5 minutes at 3500 as I run up to 5000 for the 1 minute the rear EGT goes over the 1150 set and the warning on the EIS comes on. I'm in Ohio and it is muggy and about 80-85 degrees. Will it do better this evening? The front cylinder is 100-120- degrees cooler. Single Bing 54. I blocked up the rear of the plane so that the engine is reasonably level------------rick

Rotax quote 1200f max so you still in limits with the hotter side....I suppose its running on between the needle and the main jet at 5000....

Are the EGT senders new as well and are they even at lower RPMs.

Nick, everything is new. I raised the needle one notch and got it to stay cool enough to get the beak in run complete. Afterwords I taxied around the yard and everything stayed within limit all the time. Suspicion it just needed more air moving---------------rick
