Oil Injection Bottle installation

How high does the output port, of the reservoir, need to be for an inverted 582 installation? Since this is a gravity fed pump, the direction indicate that the output of the reservoir must be higher than the input port for the oil injection pump.
I presume this is based upon a vertical installation, but my installation will be inverted, so it seem logical that it would need to be higher, but how high?
Is it the same as the directions indicate, which is higher than the input to the pump? Does it need to be higher than the port on the engine where the injection pump is screwed in? Does it need to be higher than the tubes that inject the oil into the intake, which on an inverted installation are near the bottom, or in my case the top, of the engine.
