Recently Overhauled a tired set of bing 54 carbs, all new jets and needles as per jetting chart. Finding my cruise rpm 5200 EGT creeping up to limit. Increasing to full power reduces EGT again or throttling back to 4400 rpm also cools egt.

Considering replacing needle jets 2.72 with 2.74 to enrich the mid range. Jet needle clip is already in bottom groove.

Plugs look on the slightly lean side of normal, am aware that guages can be Inaccurate, but both egt needles give consistent and similar readings so am happy that they are close enough to actual readings. 

OAT around 5 degrees. Celsius last flight.

Anyone have any advice is this the correct course of action or is there something else I should consider
