Wiring the TCU?

Ok, I must be an idiot. I've got the installation manual, looking at 24-00-00, fig 3.1 and the list on the next page. But shouldn't the numbers on the wiring diagram match the numbers on the wires? Or do they and I'm reading it wrong?

That list commences under the diagram.

Item number 1 on that list is the 36 pole plug receptacle for the TCU.

On the diagram you will notice there are two dashed areas marked “1” representing the connector.

Within those areas, you will find the wire numbers that go to the various components.

That's what I was thinking it meant, but it didn't make sense to me, thanks Des.

I'm going to pack it up for the night and walk away, it's been a frustrating day with a couple other things going on. Good time to walk away from the airplane.
