I have a new 914 on a new zenith 750 STOL.  All four egt probes consistently come loose after just 20 minute flights.  Both the egt probe and the little adapter come loose.  The exhaust had factory holes already there.  The probes were first installed with anti-seize.  The carbs have been synced and things seem to run smooth.  About 5.5 hours on the engine now.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you dynamically balanced the propeller? I balance props on all size engines from Rotax on up. I have only once had a prop that was within balance limits. What I am saying is if it hasn’t been balanced it needs it regardless if it “feels” smooth.

Thanks for suggestion.  I have not yet done that because with so few hours I may still choose to make a prop pitch change.

I had similar issues with my 914 probes becoming loose without any antisieze used. Carry some wrenches and tighten every few hours until the compression fitting seats.

Not sure what kind of fittings you have. If you have threaded fittings, you can purchase thin stainless-steel nuts with the correct pitch and use as a jamb nut

    Hi Jasper,

I don't, think pitch changes, will have n impact on dynamic or static prop balance.

Dynamic prop balance is not usually an urgent service (most props being quite well factory static balanced) but should be done as soon as the opportunity arises.
