 I’m about to install a new 914 UL–2 , with a Dynon SV-HDX-1100, and a  SV-EMS-220 system.

Rotax Manuals indicate a red TCU light tells you you have already exceeded :05 min takeoff power limitation.

Is there a means  of displaying the TCU  timer data to display the elapsed time you are in the takeoff power range?

Or to trigger a external timer  display to show the time in the takeoff power range?

Likewise, can you display the  TCU’s data of the Air Box Temperature on a Dynon HDX or a external display?

    Hi Corey,

I’m not at all familiar with Dynon Avionics however looking at the HDX installation manual online, there is a method described for displaying airbox temp on the EFIS. Screenshot attached.

I know of at least one manufacturer supplying a dedicated instrument displaying the TCU info, Joaquim in Switzerland brought it to my attention, it looks quite good I think.

Someone well versed in things Dynon can probably help with the timer function you mention but the RED lamp also has an overboost warning function, I don’t know how that could be differentiated from the timer function (continuous/blinking) via a single EFIS input, someone who knows the Dynon system probably does.

Might be easier to stick with keeping an eye on the lamps.

I hope this is of some value to you.

    Cheers, Des.

There is a dedicated Dynon Forum that may be able to assist you with your question.

FYI:  Be prepared , there are a number of TROLL type people who frequent the Forum.😈

Most smart phones have voice activated timer that is easy to use.

    Hello Corey,

I took the liberty of sending an email to aviasport via the link on their web page. I sent it in both English and Spanish asking if the instrument was available and do they ship to the USA. I received the following reply in English 48 hrs later, including a quotation for the instrument and shipping (price in Euros).

Hopefully they will also respond to you.

    Cheers.

    “Hello,

Thank you for your interest in our gauges.

Please find attached the quotation, shipping cost included by Fedex International Priority.

If you decide to go ahead with the order, please let me know how you prefer to make the payment: either bank transfer or credit card. In case of credit card payment, I will send you a Visa Secure Link. In this way, you make the transaction directly with Visa.

IM3917 will be shipped ten days after your payment is received.

Please let me know if you need additional information.

    Best wishes,

    Rosa Jiménez”
