Dear Sir:

Where can I find an updated list on the various engine oil fitted for my subject Rotax engine? With my flying in the Philippine, average temperature would be about 80F degrees and with a humidity of 77%.

Thanks and hope to hear from the group soon.

Best regards............ jack

    Jack,

Go to the support tab at the top of the page and click on manuals. open the 912 operators manual and look under lubricating fluids. It doesn't give brand names but it tells you what oil specifications you should look for. You need an oil with an SG rating or better. Most motorcycles use this type of oil. I personally use Amsoil which I buy at my local Harley Davidson dealer.

    Hi Jack,
Oils kind of depend on where you live in the world. Most any good quality semi or full synthetic motorcycle oil would be good. there are a couple of oils Rotax does not want in their engine. Oil also depends on the fuel you use.
91 Oct. verses 100LL. No full synthetic for 100LL, only semi synthetic. You can use either full or semi synthetic with 91 Oct. read the blog below it may answer some questions for you.

There is a blog on oils here on this website.
