Several months ago I made an inquiry to E3 about an equivilent spark plug for the NGK DCPR8E we use in our 912s. At that time they had no equivilent. This week, because of my inquiry, E3 let me know that the E3.36 will work for the NGK. It also works for several other NGK plugs. I would like to try these plugs but don't want to be the Beta tester.

Any opinions?

    WHY?

    Why not?

We are experimenters. Most of us fly experimental, home built, airplanes.

It seems nobody has tried these plugs. I'll let you know how it works out.

    Ok, here is the latest.

First, I changed just the top plugs. The bottom plugs are stock NGKs with around 50hrs.

These "high performance", "latest and greatest", etc., work quite well. The engine runs smooth, starts well, the same small mag drop as the NGKs. They seem to work just as well.

Bottom line; they cost three times as much as NGKs and give no benefit above the NGKs. Save your money.
