How long will Stabil extend fuel life?

After having to drain 14 gallons of "old" fuel I have started using Stabil to extend the fuel life (912 ULS). If 3 weeks was the life limit for premium, how long can we go when adding Stabil? And given that when you add new gas you almost always have old gas in the tank, then what? Do you average in the age of the old gas with the new gas to compute the tank's life?
By the way, the 2 month old fuel worked just fine in my Jeep.
