Hi Miguel,

During an idle check let's say one gauge says 12" of vacuum (this number may not be the real reading, but an example) (and you did the mechanical sync correctly). If the other one says 20"+ or something in that area then the idle jet needs cleaning. The high vacuum for idle is not normal and there is a huge spread between carbs. While you get experience a huge spread between gauges usually means an orifice is clogged or you didn't set up the carbs correctly and or the throttle cable length needs adjustment. If you did everything correctly up to placing the gauges on hopefully the gauges are only .5" - 2" off from one another. When there are huge vacuum spreads you will not be able to just turn the screw or cable adjuster and fix it. Something else is at play.

Just look for large abnormal spreads in vacuum. As you get a little experience it will become more clear.
