I wrote a month ago about the vibration coming from my 912ULS. I traded my gearbox for another one and the engine was very smooth, so I have isolated the problem to the gearbox. I sent it out and had the springs replaced, re-shimmed it, and had the front bearing replaced. I still have the vibration. yesterday I flew it, it was running fine at about 5300rpm, and the vibration just started up. i went to idle for awhile, then brought the power back up and the vibration stopped for a couple of minutes.

so I am going to change out the gear set to see if that fixes it. In the parts catalogue there is a "gear set narrow" and a "gear set wide", how do I know which one I need? My engine was built in 2012.

    Hi, Gary

not sure about the cause of vibration problem.

for your 912ULS, the wide gear set(2.43) should be installed according to IPC.
    Its part no. is 886518.
