During the condition inspection i noticed the LH carb bowl was leaking. So i picked up some new Rotax gaskets and installed. The thing is still leaking. Pulled it apart and found nothing. Has anyone had this problem?

Make sure there is no debris in the recessed part of the carb body that the bowl fits into. Make sure the bowl sits squarly down inside that recessed area. I have seen some think the bowl is seated correctly, but it is caught on an edge. Make sure it is the gasket and not another area of the carb or the float height is wrong and the carb is flooding some.

I had some gaskets a few years ago that when new would ooze until they "cured" it took about a week for them to quit leaking.

Just my personal .02 cents and you may do it differently:

I don't use the cork gaskets from Bing. I do use the fiber gaskets that you usually get from the Rotax distributors. What I do different is rub them down with white lithium grease especially around the edges. I rub it in well and never leave any globs. I almost never have a carb leak again. I say almost because there was 1-2 times it did re-leak after a short time. Just something I tried and seems to work, but it may not be for everyone.

They have sat for about a week and a half and it is still seeping. These gaskets are the fiber not cork. I will try the grease and see what comes of it. Thanks

There must be a reason this is leaking if it wasn't before.

I don't use the lithium on a used gasket. I only do this on new unused. Too late if it's used. You need to find out why it is still leaking. I did have some trouble a few years back and ask Bing about trying a cork (thinner) and a fiber (thicker) gasket together. They didn't seem to have any issues with this. Two fiber gaskets are too thick.
