I've also noticed a drop in oil pressure as oil temp increases which is different to what the indications used to be.

I've always seen a reduction in oil pressure as temp increases. For me it is the expected behavior, due to difference in viscosity with different temperature.
Along the first few minutes, with a cold engine, I see 4 bar. Then it drops to about 3 or slightly less. And if the oil temp reaches the yellow band, the pressure will be near 2.5 bar.

Oil pressure is reading good but temps are higher than used to be. The other day in climb at 5200 rpm wot, temps got to 125°C and pressure was at 30psi. OAT was only 27°C. This is higher temps than I've ever had.

An oil temp of 257F with an OAT of 81F is high. If you see it getting that high then throttle back and or level off. With an OAT of 81F many see 220F - 245F on climb out and in cruise at 5200 rpm in level flight they may see 215F - 225F.

Has there been any maint. done and then this issue started right after? Oil level and possibly type of oil? Check any oil hose to see if the radius has collapsed just a tad and slowed oil flow. Yes the cooler could have some debris and need to be flushed. Have you removed and cleaned the oil tank lately. I don't meant it's dirty, but someone just put the bottom plate in upside down and forgot to put the screen back in. This allowed the bottom plate to float up and block the oil flow and seized the engine.

If the engine has some time on it or you can't find any other smoking gun that leads to a solution then it may not hurt to flush the oil cooler.

    Thanks Roger,
I just had the oil hoses all replaced as part of my five year rubber change so I'll have a look at the radius turns. I am about to do n oil change and will clean the oil tank. I'm not sure if it has ever been cleaned (previous owner unlike) so it could have a sludge build up. I use sport four plus. Even in the recent hit weather days (40°) I didn't get temps like that.

Since you just had the oil hoses changed it is possible that some debris did enter the cooler. It isn't hard to flush and clean. It may be worth your while for peace of mind and to rule it out. Also check for that reduced radius in the hose that slows oil flow.
