this problem with the 914 losing power at high altitude and returning to normal operation when you descend thru 6000 ft or so is serious. I live in fl, so normal operations here seldom encounter the problem. I have talked to Ronnie Smith about it and billy payne and so far they have no real solutions based on experience. here are the operating parameters; 8500 ft plus alt, 5200 rpm, 32-33 in MP, normal egt, fuel pressure diff of 4-7 lbs, fuel gradually decreases from 5.7 gph to 4.75 gph and begins to run rough, full throttle is rougher, both fuel pumps no change, only descending thru 6500 ft solves the problem. help me, I want to go to the mountains soon.
