Black minute particulate found in Carb' float Chamber 914

Can anyone enlighten about black particle of micro size usually found in carb' float chambers of Rotax-914 F. Is it a fibrous material erroded from fuel lines or some other matter ?
If it is not from fuel lines, how come it passed through the fuel filter ?

Maybe it is piece of material from the pump or hose. When is or was the 5 year rubber replacement done/due? I have flushed the lines thru a coffee filter to see if any other debris is present.

Possibly a piece of hose or a flake of the external coating from a float. It has to come from after the fuel pump because it has a screen filter in it. If you have Teflon hose from the pump to the carbs then it is the carb float.

After we found the partiicles, the engine was rough on start up but smooth on right carb' change. left carb' was found clean and okay. Is the rough running due to clogging by the black micro particulate ?

Using a set of carb sync “gauges” can help diagnose clogged carbs many times. If one carb seems to have an issue take it apart and blow out ALL orifices. The obstruction doesn’t have to be in the main jet to have some rough running.
