Leaking push rod tubes?  If these are leaking at the top where they are installed with Loctite you might have a bigger problem.  That could be a sign of engine overheating.  Perhaps sometime in the past it ran hot on the coolant?

Yes, the push rod tubes where they seal with Loctite. I have had this engine go up to the Max coolant temp of 120c but don't know the previous owner's history on that. This is the same engine discussed in another topic recently with the leaking case bolt. This engine had the crankcase split 500 hours ago and I am not sure of the quality of work done. For example, I don't see any record of replacing the case bolts which should have been. Who knows what sort of Loctite if any they would have used.

I have only had this engine for 40 hours of use, but it runs like a top and the leak down checks are all 86/86. I am being very thorough with this engine as I am planning on upgrading it to the Edge Performance 1844cc kit and don't want to put that into a dud engine.  I guess it would be prudent to send the heads out for testing (I don't have the equipment for this) for overheating before I do much else.

    Hi Murray

I would suggest that whomever installs the big bore kit would recommend the same, your block and heads must be checked before you spend a lot of money on it.

    Cheers
