Use of oil during initial 25 hours of new and overhaul engines

No break in period. The 25 hr. is a warranty inspection and first oil change. Check the magnetic plug and make sure you safety wire it. Make sure you log the 25 hr. in the log book as being done. Use Aero Shell Sport Plus 4 oil and a Rotax oil filter. Any aftermarket filter will void your warranty. I highly recommend you use the checklist out of the maintenance manual for your inspection and keep it in a binder and write on it it was for the 25 hr. inspection. Yes a few things won't apply for this first inspection. Then starting with the 100 hr and or annuals use the checklist and keep them to help document what was done and that you covered all items. This will also help protect you in court if anything happens. I find the huge majority of mechanics and owners miss so many things because they don't use the checklist. Use the checklist designated for your fuselage too. 

Many think using this checklist and keeping it along with good logbook documentation is overkill.

Like I tell people: Quit striving to be average as there are way too many like that already and strive to be a cut about. You stand to gain many things by being better than average. It's just as easy to be a cut above than just coasting by being average.

Aeroshell Sport Plus 4 also has the required additives for protecting the gearbox. Very critical.
