I am using Rotax 914 UL. In last flight I noticed, a sudden drop in oil pressure below minimum i.e., 2 bar and after and after some fluctuation it reached zero during the flight. I reduced the engine power to minimum to maintain the flight and did emergency landing. During flight oil pressure remain fluctuating between 4.25 bar and 0 bar.

For finding the cause of this sudden pressure I inspected oil lines, verified oil quantity and other instruments mentioned on Rotax Line maintenance manual. All the instruments were working properly.

However, I noticed leakage of oil below the radiator and it could be the possible reason for this sudden drop of oil pressure.

I repaired the oil lines and now the fluctuations are gone and the pressure is normal.

Rotax Line maintenance manual says that;

Damage can be expected if the oil pressure falls below the minimum value more than 0.5 bar (50kpa).

Oil pressure below the minimum permissible value more than 0.5 bar (50kpa) in flight

1-The whole cooling system must be inspected, repaired or overhauled in accordance with BRP-Power instructions for continued airworthiness.

The crankshaft must be replaced

2-Carry out detailed inspection of the affected engine components.

3-Cut oil filter housing and inspect filter mat for foreign matter.

4-Inspect all further systems for correct functioning.

Now my question is that do all these instructions are applicable in my case?

If you have an electronic oil pressure sensor/sending unit and it is mounted directly to the engine it has probably failed due to heat and vibration damage. I remote mounted mine years ago and have not had a problem since.

I would replace the oil pressure sender first before worrying about anything  else. This is a known failure part. They are about $45.

My installation includes a Pressure Gauge AND a Pressure Switch connected to an Idiot light.
If the Gauge AND the Idiot light Agree, then I believe the Gauge.
If the Gauge and Light Disagree I side with the one that says I DON'T have an Oil Pressure Failure.

In the event of an actual Pressure failure, A Flashing RED Idiot light gets your attention Immediately!

I should have ask is your oil pressure sender a VDO or something else?

The oil pressure sensor/sending unit is working fine. As stated above the drop in oil pressure was due to the leakage of oil from below the radiator. After repairing oil lines the engine is working fine.

    Rotax line maintenance says that:

Oil pressure below the minimum permissible value more than 0.5 bar (50kpa) in flight

1-The whole cooling system must be inspected, repaired or overhauled in accordance with BRP-Power instructions for continued airworthiness.

      The crankshaft must be replaced

2-Carry out detailed inspection of the affected engine components.

3-Cut oil filter housing and inspect filter mat for foreign matter.

4-Inspect all further systems for correct functioning.

Now my question is that do all these instructions are applicable in my case?
