High Oil Temp

You need to determine if it is an instrumentation problem or genuine high oil temperature.If the oil pressure is lower than usual then you probably do have genuinely high oil temp.

You could swap the sensor wires on the CHT gauge and the oil temp gauge. If the CHT gauge (now showing oil temp) gives the same high reading as before then you know that your gauges are probably working.

You can always swap the CHT and oil temp sensors over to eliminate a sensor fault.

I know from my own measurements that the gauges can have a 6-7°C error.

The standard small Rotax oil cooler gives approximately a 15°C temp drop from inlet to outlet so you could tape a thermocouple to each pipe and measure the temp drop in flight. If the cooler is working correctly and not being bypassed by the thermostat then you might have an oil hose with too tight a bend that is collapsing when it gets too hot.

Hopefully it will be something easy to find and fix.

It looks like your oil temp is just over 120°C but your oil pressure looks about 3.5 bar. I think that when I have seen oil temps as high as yours the pressure is less than 3 bar and closer to 2.5 bar due to how thin the oil has become at that temperature.

Awod, what size oil cooler does your gyro have? I changed out the small cooler for the large a few years ago for the same issue.
