Over the years with my 914F I have had very occasional (2 or 3) heart stopping misfires in the take off climb out which disappeared when throttle was reduced.   I have never been able to track down a real problem - replaced ignition systems etc.   But intermittent faults are always a problem of course - knowing whether the fault has been corrected..

However, I have just discovered that although my original installation manual (12 yrs ago) specified parallel installation, that all other reference to pump installation including a later heavy maintenance manual specifies series installation.   I cannot find any SI’s or SB’s about this – correcting series installation instead of parallel.

My fuel pumps are well aft of the engine so high alpha in the climb will affect the head required.   Fuel flow tests at high alpha show ample fuel flow rate..

Does anyone have any comment or advice please?;
