Hi - just in the process of finishing my wiring of the panel and engine and just want to check something with those of you currently operating this (or similar) setup.

The manual states that:-

If Lane A is ON and Lane B is OFF - the following sensors are not available:
- Coolant Temp
- EGT Cyl 1-4
- Ambient Temp
- Ambient Pressure
- Throttle Lever Position

If Lane B is ON and Lane A is OFF - the following sensors are not available:
- Oil Temp
- Oil Pressure

Is this exactly what happens in practice? I am finding things a bit different (and am wondering if it may be a wiring problem..

Thanks,
Ian

    Hi Ian,
I am not at the plane right now, but I am thinking mine might be showing something a little different. I know that mine does not show any oil pressure (there is a red “X" through the oil indicator) until the engine starts, no matter what combination the Lane switches are in. This has been an annoyance for me that I have not been able to solve.
Tell me what you get on each Lane and I will go and compare it to what is showing on mine.
    Regards,
    Joe

    Hi Joe,

We are just waiting on a new HIC connector as we need to replace one of them (and this may be the problem?).
However, at the moment this is what happens when the engine is not running:

Turn off Lane B - Oil Pressure and Oil Temperature get a red cross through them
Turn off Lane A - Everything gets a red cross! (including Manifold pressure and RPM)

Just in terms of your issue below Joe, we definitely get a reading for oil pressure when the engine is off.

Once we get the new connector fitted in the next few days, I'll update you on exactly what happens when we turn off each lane switch.

    Ian

    Hi Ian,
I just went out and tried switching each Lane off. I did not start the engine. As I said, the oil pressure has a red X through it all the time that the engine is not running. With Lane B off, a red X is through the Oil Temperature (and Oil Pressure). With Lane A off, a red X through the Water Temperature, the EGT and Volts (and the aforementioned Oil Pressure). The tachometer was operational on both configs and only X’d out when both Lanes were switched off. I do not have the manifold pressure enabled so I cannot say anything regarding that.
    Hope this helps.
    Joe

    Hi Guys,
apologies for the slow reply, I have not flown for a while.

    During the run up..

    When I turn off Lane A I lose....Water temp/EGT's/Volts on lane A.

    When I turn off lane B I lose....Oil Pressure/Oil Temp/Lane B volts

    Forgot to check MAP sorry
