I found a new Rotax Service Center near me and took my 912iS in for a 100 hour (500 hr total) inspection on Monday. This was the first time a dongle has been hooked up to my engine. After 30 minutes with no results, we gave up. How long should the download take? Granted there are 2 years & 500 hours of flight data to download, but what should the expected download time be?

I never had any Lane issues so we decided to abort the download and try again next time...

it usually takes about 10 minutes to download the fault and data logs from both Lanes.
Do you have the new version of BUDS? 3.0.1

There may be an issue here. I couldn't download my last plane. I have heard of others having the same problems. Even the service centers.

    Rob,
This may be something to push up the chain of command.

Need details so it can be analyzed.
    -Aircraft?
    -BUDS version?
    -One or two maintenance ports?
    -Windows version?
-Did the BUDS program connect to the ECU (two green lights?)
    -Did the download start?
    -Any other details you noticed.
I noticed during the last class I was not able to connect with my old faithful laptop that has worked for years. Under the stress of a whole class watching I grabbed my new windows-10 tablet and it worked. Same Windows version, I cannot explain it.
