915 vs 916 fuel efficiency chart

I have a friend who has a 916 on his plane. He used to have a 915. He says the cruise performance and fuel flow is identical. 

That’s more like what I would expect. I can’t see what I’m missing.

Maybe it’s an old ECU map.

The 915is OM has pages of performance data, and the 916is manual *says* that it has the same, but they're missing. That data would go along way to understanding the differences in that single 9,000' DA chart.

Having said that, from that published data yes the 915is seems to "bottom out" at around 0.27 kg/kwh , and at a ~80% cruise at 9000' it's around 0.29 kg/kwh @ 5500rpm
