2 cycle engines being discontinued

I've seen posts on a couple of other websites today about rumors circulating that Rotax is ceasing production on 2 cycle engines. Is this true?

Hi Bill,

I have heard that rumor for 2-3 years, but I don't know for sure. I would doubt it since the 582 is so popular.

Here in the UK we have been told that its the 447 and 503 are the ones no longer in production....with as Roger says the 582 carrying on,

But with a good spare part backup for many years....a shame really,

I bought one of the last 10 503s available in the UK this summer.
