Hello all!

I am experiencing a sudden high oil temp on a what was a perfectly running engine..

I have checked almost everything that could possibly lead to high oil temp.

Any ideas or suggestions???

Thank you

    Hi Andre

First stop is to swap your CHT sender with your Oil Temp Sender, (they are both the same), and/or the gauge.

If you have a remote lazer thermometer then try pointing it at the oil filter, that should be as close as you can get to the real oil temp.

    Hi Andre,

First what do you consider high oil temp and under what flight conditions. i.e OAT, climb angles, flaps and speeds. When these things are changed do they affect the oil temp?
Check the tightness on the oil temp electrical connector. It should be snug and not loose.

How old is the oil hose? Check routing some hose will have a reduced radius (not kinked) and slow the oil flow which raises oil temps. If the hose are older than 5 years then it may be a good time to replace them with something newer and maybe better.
