  • Re: No Voltage from 912s generator after reversed batt

The battery is a brand new LiFePolymer Battery (5,5Ah) . It seems to have slightly higher Voltage than a Lead Acid Batt. Comparing, the meter shows 12,8V on my House standby system full(Lead Acid). So the meter doesnt seem too far off.
Idid not disconnect any single cables from the regulator while running the engine..I inserted the V-metre probe into the connector while running.
The thing that puzzles me....why dont i get a reading on the Yellow (g G) wires? Does that make any sense at all?

I also checked the tach leads to the Flydat...one is ground the other open. And both have a thru signal (not broken under insulation).

To the rectifier: how could it show 14V when the yellow cables from the generator dont show any voltage at all?

If you have increased voltage DC after engine run it's impossible that there is no voltage on yellow wires.
You told : "2 red cables show 13,9 when disconnected and 14,8V connected" so it's look you have good charging.
Your problem is no RPM so I still think that you should first check your multimeter. Maybe it's shows you DC but AC probe is broken.

Hi Przemysław..thanks for the qualified answers!
I tested the VA meter on 220v mains and it shows.
BUt what I did now is insert the probe into the connected plug (to rectifier) while the engine is running (app 2200-2500rpm)...and now it shows 15V at the first (left) G yellow cable. But it didnt show anything while disconnected...that doesnt make sense does it!? But i guess that must be the inadequacy of the VA meter!
    So the rectifyer functions..
the pickup coil seems ok(270 OHM) and 0,5V (on DC setting of VAmeter)
the cables to Flydat pickup are ok and one of them to ground.

I still have no RPM, that might be the FLYDAT as it had that resistor burnt that you sent me.

I still have the Ignition light on at all times...how is that supposed to be connected? I read somewhere that it has 2 positive + contacts and lights up when one is supplying lower Voltage than the other?
