Roger,
Did you ever get something from Loctite showing that 598 is the equivalent to 5910?

    Hi Rob,

Just a phone call. Nothing in writing. I have been using it for 15 years and it's taught in the US Rotax classes. Most of the guys I know have been using it too.

    Rob-
Did you get this in writing or is comparing spec sheets enough.
I need it too for a certified 912S.
    Who do I call.

Rotax should have a SB or something saying it's OK to use 598 instead of insisting to use European products.

    Regards,
    Mat

All I can tell you is that Loctite 598 is the US version of the European Loctite 5910. If you read the Rotax documentation it says you are allowed to use equivalents. We teach this in our US classes.

    Thanks Roger.
Kindly point me to the documentation from Rotax.

I will use this on the oil pump and also the gearbox.

Thanks for taking time to talk to me on Sat.

    Regards,
    Mat
