    Hi Terry,

The 17mm coolant hose you will need to buy from a Rotax Service center. This hose is only made by one company just for Rotax. Do not try and use 11/16" hose. It is the wrong size and I have seen a ton of leaks. Plus the compression clamps won't work.
The fuel hose can be purchased locally. One I prefer is Gate Barricade fuel hose. Both in 1/4" and 5/16". This is ethanol rated hose and not as permeable to vapor loss as some regular rubber fuel hose. I don't use fuel injected hose because it has no give in the wall linings and when pushing it over the brass barbed fittings which many owners have it shears off tiny pieces on the inner wall that end up in the pump or the carbs. I use the carburation rated hose. This has some sidewall give and doesn't cause inner wall hose damage. The difference in hose is the FI hose has a 100 psi rating and the carburation hose is 50 psi. Since the 912UL or ULS only has about 3-6 psi fuel pressure this isn't an issue. The large coolant hose is 25mm or 1". This hose can be purchased locally. I use Gates Green Stripe or Dayco. Some even have 90 degree elbows which can come from a local source. The oil hose is a different issue. It is 13mm or 1/2". This must be rated for temp, pressure and the ability not to collapse or kink. I think Lockwood uses Aero Quip hose and CPS uses a hose from Parker. I'm not sure what leading Edge uses. I have used both, but tend to use the CPS hose because the Aero Quip is more expensive, but good hose.
Make sure all fuel and oil hose is in fire sleeve and the fire sleeve gets a clamp at each end.

Do not use the serrated worm drive garden hose clamps that come from a hardware store. Leave these for garden hose. These can over cam and come loose and don't give a good seal right under the screw.
If you want to use a worm drive style clamp on the coolant hose (not fuel hose) then use a good Wurth clamp.

Read this and it may help.

Thx. for your reply Roger, it was/is very helpful. Can you also advise the length of time to replace all of the hoses on the 912ULS for a qualified maintenance person please? Many thx.

What plane are we talking about?

Many planes I can do in one day for the entire rubber change and I don't cut corners. The Flight Design CT I do in two days because I pull the engine due to it's engine firewall design. Some planes have hard to get to mounting of the engine so that may take a little longer. It just takes a little time. I pull of a hose cut the new one and replace it then move on to the next. re-use the fire sleeve. Pay special attention to hose that curve around. Make sure they are sweeping curves and not so tight a bend then when hot they collapse down a bit and reduce the radius. This is important for oil and coolant hoses. many people may take two days for a change out and maybe even three. I have done a ton of them so I kind of know what I'm going after. Everyone started on their first one and they weren't speedy, but then they start to get faster and faster after each plane as you learn the route through the hose change you want to take.

    Hi Terry,

    Roger pretty much covered it!

I got the 17mm coolant and the 13mm oil hose(Aeroquip FC598-08) from Rotech Research Canada. this was on my last hose change last summer.

I once used Aeroquip FC332 hose for the oil lines , I got that from WAJAX Canada

The fuel lines are Gates Barricade carburetor from NAPA, the 25mm coolant and 1/2"heater lines I used silicone from Traction heavy duty parts / it is a division of NAPA.

I have also used Aeroquip FC332 hose for fuel lines.

    Good Luck
