Hi Roger I am still having problems with the intermittent oil pressure so I will replace the oil pressure vale with the new type, I was wondering do I need to do and oil change or can I replace the vale without draining the oil?

Cheers John

    Hi John,

    Just replace it.
You will drool some oil, but very little. I have my new parts together in one hand and unscrew the other oil plug with the other. Make sure when the old one comes out that the spring and ball bearing comes with it. Then just insert the new parts and torque it down. Done. no purging or anything else.

Hi John, I just replaced mine it's a non
Event. As roger indicated a drool of oil
screw it in , torque and safety wire and your all set. I had very positive results.

    Hi John,

Regarding the oil pressure change it is
My advise not too use the shim included.
Your oil pressure will be pushing 70 psi.
As Roger told me its volume not pressure
We are really looking at. I removed the shim and oil pressure is steady at 55 psi.

    Roger will most likely concurre.

Hi Roger just changed the valve for the newer type with the mushroom instead of the ball. pressure still high, so I have replaced the gauge, now and the valve, I guess next would be the sender unit, can I change this again without oil change etc ?
Ps do you have any other idea what this might be ? a part from the oil pressure reading she is running sweat as a nut.
