Same thing here James. I have a Kitfox too. I keep the fuel on also. Used to shut it off, but developed a problem with the float sticking down after sitting awhile. Doesn't do that with the fuel on.

At these temperatures (here we have 95+) we do not use chocke at all. The engine fires immediately and runs smooth. The aux pump shouldn't be able to flood the carbs. But I have noticed that if we chocke the engine with so high temps, the engine runs rough after start up.

Noticed the same behavior on our rotrax as well on high temp, no choke needed and she will fire up and runs smoothly. Opposite thing happen on our Jeep project, it will idle rough on warm start. Will finish installing the smittybilt parts first before we address the issue.

Update, after a process of elimination ,aux pump completely off, throttle closed and full choke she starts great the last few flights!, I believe the issue was like the hot gas can in your garage ( bulging) from the heat, the fuel was not evaporating and there was not a lack of it! it was expanding in the system and adding any pressure or more fuel aggravated the problem and flooded the engine hence the hard long rough starting , and there was no need for priming/boosting/pressurizing the system on the stingsport! when it was colder and in the winter the norm was to use aux pump and always worked like a charm when it was cold,This is my first summer with the stingsport/ rotax912uls, and yesterday it was 104 in St. Louis , all that said, thru trial and error and advise from the forum. This solved the problem! I guess the installationsi of the rotax 912uls on different planes and system setups starting/operations vary a bit. Fly fun fly safe!
