    Hi Hans,

    After flying your CTSW and then letting it sit causes a little vapor lock with the fuel. This has been noted in several CTSW's. Once it is started again then the cooler fuel and air comes in to take care of it, but there is noting you can do.

    This issue was fixed on some 912 powered aircraft by fitting a vapour return line to the fuel tank. There is a small T-piece fitted with a restrictor in the fuel system at the highest point between the carbs, the return line then attaches to this T-piece.

    Everyone should have a recirculation line and it is outlined in the installation manual. It comes off the tee up on the carb cross over tee and should go back down to the gascolator. This does help reduce a chance of vapor lock, but once the engine sets idle and not running the heat can cook the fuel sitting in the fuel lines on top of the engine under a cowl. This is where you may get a little vapor lock, but having a recirculation line helps keep cooler fuel moving once engine restarts the fuel helps cool.

    Hi All,
    had the same experience when using auto fuel. Had to leave the access doors in the cowling open to avoid hot air to accumulate around the carburettors and fuel lines. Learned the hard way that auto fuel has different vapour pressures depending on season...

    Har løst problemet ved at flytte benzin slangerne til pumpen væk fra udstødnings rør, det var strålevarmen derfra der gav problemer
